Runaway Productions presents:

Locksmith@DaLocksmith has just unleashed his brand new mixtape, “The Lock Sessions” and is now on tour and coming to Portland Oregon Nov 12th. Locksmith also just performed live this October on this years BET HIP HOP AWARDS. He performed on stage live in the cyper with hip hop legends Dead Prez. The veteran bay lyrical magician is a rarity in today’s industry..he is one of the few that are able to give words even more of a true meaning by delivering them for meaningful messages and positive purposes. His knack for tracks which inspire critical thinking continues on “The Lock Sessions”, with 10 new tracks and guest appearances from Rebecca Noel, Fred The Godson, David Correy, Mark Battles, and One.Coco.

Bad Habitat: Intent on making intelligent, yet high energy music, Bad Habitat has developed an aggressive, progressive sound that incorporates real life lyricism mixed with over the top braggadocio and an original flavor of beats (primarily provided in-house by members Flawless and Matt Murdock). Drawing influence from multiple genres, ranging from punk and classic rock to early hip hop, indie funk and 80′s pop, Bad Habitat has created a hybrid of styles rolled into an easily accessible sound that would feel just as natural blasting from a frat party as it would rocking a mosh pit.

J. Lately: With no gimmicks or artificial marketing scheme, J.Lately distinguishes himself as an emcee with his soulful style and laid back flow. A true appreciation for music along with the unique ability to put everyday life into a relatable perspective has allowed him to flourish in the local Bay Area scene and beyond. His music possesses the rare ability to make you contemplate and vibe out simultaneously, finding the perfect balance between the conscious and the stoner. Coming from the small town of Sebastopol, and having split time between Oakland and Southern California, his influences are eclectic and mesh together effortlessly to form his own individual style. A relentless drive has kept Lately on tour across the country with artists such as Zion I, Locksmith, Los Rakas, Chuuwee, and Rey Res to name a few. He has released multiple solo and collaborative projects, with his most recent solo release, The Good Panda EP, garnering the attention of many notable blogs and listeners alike
