Piefight is both the punky life of the party and the wallflower playing moody slow jams. Musically drawn from a deep, wild well of rock influences — PJ Harvey, the Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Liz Phair — their songs are vulnerable and empowering.

Megathruster: Chris Waffle and Joel Macheila were playing Dungeons and Dragons in Mrs. Waffle’s basement when Chris’ bard tripped and landed on the tail of a sleeping dragon. Joel’s quick-thinking mage summoned a storm. Time stopped as the D20 rolled in slow motion across the table – the party held their breath – and as the die settled on 20, a bolt of lighting struck just outside the windows and a purple fog appeared. The next thing they remember is waking up with instruments in their hands and rock on their minds. Megathruster was born, forged in the mythical lands of Oregon’s I5 corridor and ready to take you to another dimension with their acoustic nerd folk rock!
