Courtney Noe: With her icy blonde hair, bold lipstick, and self-designed outfits, you wouldn’t guess that Courtney Noe grew up in a forest. As an only child in rural Oregon, Noe kept herself entertained with her imagination. Through an alter ego she refers to as “diva mode,” the self-described introvert is able to be more vulnerable and forward with her emotions on stage than she is in her everyday life. Her powerhouse vocals and outlandish outfits have earned her comparisons to Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga. She has performed at GIRLFEST NW, and the Portland Women’s Expo, as well as solo shows at Portland’s Secret Society, the Bossanova Ballroom, and at New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall and Bar9. She is currently working on new music with renowned soul and funk producer, Tony Ozier.
Laryssa Birdseye is a singer songwriter based out of Portland Oregon. Self described as a folk singer with heavy pop and soul influences, her music is not tied down to simply one genre. Many years ago, she stole her older brother’s guitar, picked up a Beatles anthology book, and taught herself how to play. After realizing her adolescent attempts at writing poetry were best paired with music, a lifelong relationship with songwriting was born.
Having struggled with addiction and an eating disorder for the better part of a decade, Laryssa’s songs reflect the turmoil of heartbreak, dependency, regret, and the persistent strive towards recovery and healing. Heavily influenced by legendary female songwriters Amy Winehouse, Joni Mitchell, and Ani Difranco, Laryssa is not one to be overlooked. Watch for her debut album, “So What” coming in summer of 2017.
