The Early Bird Project, Quincy Davis, Jesse the Imaginer

Thursday September 28 @ 9:00 pm - 11:30 pm

$5

The Early Bird Project is an indie rap duo that puts a fresh twist on the underground sound of groups like Jurassic 5, Atmosphere and Dilated Peoples. A barista and brunch cook by day, their up-at-the-crack of dawn grind is reflected in their music, but so is their desire for more. The two are excited to debut a slew of unreleased material showing the evolution of their sound from crafted boom bap anthems to soul searching sketches.

Quincy Davis is a conscious MC who fuses thought-provoking lyricism and storytelling with soulful melody to create his unique brand of inspirational hip-hop. In 2017 he was nominated as Portland’s Best Hip-Hop Artist (Willamette Week Reader’s Poll), a testament to his passion and commitment to excellence.

Jesse the Imaginer (I’M Awakening Genius IN Every Rap) is a high school English teacher intertwined with a poet emcee. Member of the Cypher CURE Collective- a non profit that exists to awaken genius in rhythm with Hip Hop and Earth. High energy call and response Hip Hop songs mixed with dream like story telling. Come rock on in a cypher, at a show or in the classroom.
