The dream of the 90s is alive in Mila Mila, an upstart four-piece inspired by rock bands ranging from Hole and Sonic Youth to Duster and Hum. Hailing from the pastures of North Texas, guitarist and songwriter Taz Coffey brings a touch of twang to the band’s dreamy, droney instrumentals, which come courtesy of master bass slapper Ethan Bear, waterfall-enthusiast drummer Shawn “Shaggy” Bolker, and cinephile guitarist Brendan Nagle.

Silvertongue is an indie-rock band based in Portland, OR. Their style ranges from singer-songwriter/folk (Lumineers, Gregory Alan Isakov, Phoebe Bridgers) to beachside pop/rock (Dispatch, Jack Johnson, Current Swell) to full-band alternative rock (Young the Giant, Black Keys, Mt. Joy).
Book of Spells, the upcoming full-length release from Portland experimental indie rockers The Eldest Young, chronicles a restless young man’s search for connection, meaning, and love, taking sonic cues from Mt. Joy, Tame Impala, and the National. Through contemplative, danceable tracks full of shimmering synths, grooving basslines, and drawling vocals that ring like mantras, we follow our protagonist as he ventures deep into the world of mysticism in hopes of combatting his loneliness and discovering a sense of purpose. Will he find what he’s looking for?
